This year, current GGMCA Members can join our Members Express line, check in at the Membership Table.
The best way to take advantage of the Members Express Line is to add a copy of your Membership Card to your phone.
Login to the membership portal, and click on the Print Membership Card to download a PDF copy of your membership. Flash that members card to get into the members line.
STAMPEDE BREAKFAST FAQs
Q: What’s on the menu?
A : There’s no menu, this is a stampede breakfast. It’s pancakes, it’s scrambled eggs, it’s hash-browned potatoes, cooked and served by GGMCA volunteers.
Q: Should we line up early?
A: That’s up to you. Some people do. Know that there are no services available until close to start time, which is 9:00 AM for the public, and 8:00 am for volunteers. There will be activities around setting up the event that may ask you and the rest of the early line to move a certain distance as we finish setting up. Bring a lawn chair if you are planning on arriving early, and be ok with moving your chair when needed.
Q: Can we sleep in a little and show up later?
A: This is tricky, and totally dependant on your vibe when you arrive. If you are a current GGMCA Member, get that beauty rest, stay in bed and get those extra zzzz’s. You can stroll into the GGMCA Members Express line and flash your members card.
Whether you are a GGMCA member or not yet, know that our breakfast supplies start to dwindle at 10:30 AM-ish and we can shut down the pancake line and breakfast service with only a moments notice. We increased our budget for this year and last year was our biggest year ever. If you are not already a GGMCA Member, don’t sleep too late and expect to waltz in and get Stampede brunch. Bring a lawn chair if you want to be most comfortable while waiting, and be ok with moving it when needed.
Q: Can we bring friends?
A: Yes, of course. We have a new system for guests this year, a GGMCA members and non-members line. If you are current GGMCA members, you can access the members line for breakfast by showing your membership card, and if your guests are not members they will access the non-members line. We’ll stamp/brand members and their guests which will provide access to the members express line.
Q: Can we bring our pets?
A: Pets on Glendale Community property are governed by city bylaws with respect to being on-leash and owners picking up after your pets. The GGMCA Board is reminding guests that if you must bring a pet you will ensure it is leashed at all times and you are picking up after your pet. This event has LOTS of stampedey people, and little kids, and food.
Q: Can we ride our bikes?
A: Most certainly ride your bike to the Stampede Breakfast. There are no storage facilities available for locking up your bike, please bring your bike lock with you. You may need to use the buddy system when getting breakfast, one keeps the bikes occupied while the other(s) hunt the pancakes.
Q: Is there on-site parking in the community parking lot?
A: There is limited street parking around the community association property, on 25th Avenue and along 45 Street. We encourage you to walk in to the event if you are from Glendale. For the day before and the day of the GGMCA Stampede Breakfast, the Glendale community parking lot is reserved for drop-offs, limited handicap parking, safety vehicle access, and event volunteer staff that will need to run out and acquire something we forgot and have a place to land when they get back.
