Dink At The Rink

If you would like to play pickleball and you are not already a member of the Glendale/Glendale Meadows Community Association, to play you will need…

  • – to buy a membership for $35, and,
  • add a 2025 T+P season passkey for $70, and,
  • a key deposit of $20.
GGMCA will refund your key deposit when you return the key. T+P members not renewing but still hold a key will be notified before collecting deposits for keys not returned.

Not surprisingly, Dink Beside The Courts™ has not consumer tested as well for a location name, and hasn’t resonated as closely, or connected deeply in testing, like we hoped.

We hope you’ll decide to play again next year, and if you do, your GGMCA base membership auto-renews on the anniversary date. You will login after April 15 to our members site and buy the newest season pass key. We don’t offer auto-renew of a tennis/pickleball season pass but you can turn it on yourself if you would like that convenience. We’ll still hold your key deposit and announce an exchange for a new key at the beginning of that new season.

You do not need to reside in Glendale to buy a membership and pickleball access key.

What is the passkey for?
The 2025 Passkey is used to access the self-serve pickleball nets, and if you need a paddle and balls, we have locked it all up in a storage locker right beside the rink. Imagine you decide you want to play for an hour, you show up at the rink, unlock the storage locker, grab a net for your court, and paddle(s) if you need them, lock up the locker again and set up your net, and get playing. When you are done playing, you pack up the net and lock it back up in the locker.

Inside the locked t-court is where the stored rolling pickleball net is kept. This is one of two places to use your 2025 passkey for pickleball, the other is the storage cabinet at The Rink.

If you are playing tennis, the 2025 passkey is how you access the tennis courts, from either corner gate at the court.

Need to get a 2025 Passkey?
New members can start here. You’ll need to buy all three items if this is your first year playing at Glendale. After your purchase, the GGMCA Courts Coordinator will send you a welcome email with all the details you need to get dinking. We have offered key exchange open houses at The Hall, and those times are always listed on the website events page.

Existing community members can login to the Members Portal, and you can buy your first membership, or renew your last year season pass key and key deposit, as you should already have a current GGMCA Community Membership. It’s not possible to buy a tennis membership with a current base membership.

If you have a 2023 or 2024 key, you can trade that for a 2025 Passkey at the Hall during an tennis-pickleball members key exchange open house (see the events listings).

Because we live in a time when someone can be easily put off by words, here’s a definition of dink, dinking, and dinks. We just like that it rhymes with where we put the courts, at the rink. 🙂
